Here's a quick look (still subject to change) at the "star power" of each of the ACC's 12 football recruiting classes this year. National signing day continues, and the NCAA's annual letter of intent period for gridiron prospects actually stretches for a full two months, so there likely will be a few player additions over the next few days especially.

Just for fun, I took a look at three of the major prep All-America teams, those from Scout.com, Rivals.com and SuperPrep magazine. Each time an ACC program put one of its commitments on one of those teams -- meaning four- or five-star players in the case of the on-line services -- I gave that team one "star-power point." If a single prospect was on all three teams, the school received three points for that player. If he was on only one of the teams, the school received one point, etc.

Here are the results, again SUBJECT TO SLIGHT REVISIONS beyond signing day, again based only on this just-for-fun "star power" formula. The ACC Sports Journal will post its 2006 team recruiting rankings here at ACCSports.com by 5:30 p.m. today:
