Relief is on the way for a reeling Syracuse team, as Jerami Grant is practicing with the team again and could be ready to play as soon as this Sunday against Florida State. Coach Jim Boeheim said even if Grant doesn’t play in the regular season finale, he’ll be ready “for sure” by the Orange’s first ACC Tournament game on Friday.
Grant has been battling a back injury for the last few weeks. He played 13 minutes against Maryland on Feb. 24 and against Virginia on March 1 before sitting out Syracuse’s game against Georgia Tech on Tuesday.
Sources said Grant practiced with the team on Thursday, and Boeheim said Grant will be a limited participant in practice on Friday afternoon.
The sophomore forward is averaging 11.8 points and 6.7 rebounds per game for the Orange.
