Over the weekend, the Clemson Tigers grabbed the fourth commitment of their 2015 recruiting class. Noah Green - a 6-5, 275-pound three-star offensive tackle - gave his verbal to Dabo Swinney's program on Saturday before the Tigers' game with Wake Forest.
Just shook hands with Coach Dabo Swinney! I'm officially committed to Clemson! go tigers!!— Noah Green (@CapnOf_TheArk) September 28, 2013
Green is the third member of the Tigers' 2015 class to hail from the Palmetto State. 247Sports has him ranked as the No. 8 prospect in the state of South Carolina.
The same recruiting service also has him penciled in as the No. 37 OT nationally in 2015.
Green, who plays his high school ball for Boiling Springs (S.C.) High, also had offers from: UNC, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, and East Carolina. The Georgia Bulldogs were interested in Green, too, but were yet to offer.
But there was never really a great deal of drama in this recruiting battle. Both of Green's parents are Clemson graduates.
“There’s no reason to wait after you know," Green told recruiting analyst Phil Kornblut. "I knew without a doubt that’s where I wanted to go to school ... Clemson just met all the qualifications and I love it there.”
Receivers coach Jeff Scott and offensive line coach Robbie Caldwell were Green's primary recruiters.
