Brown is hoping the Terrapins got a little healthier during the bye week.

Unlike the Miami Dolphins, the Hurricanes said there isn't an issue of bullying on the team. As Miami prepares for Virginia Tech, it's paying extra attention to special teams.

North Carolina
It's sad for any player to end his career, but it's especially tough for UNC QB Bryn Renner, who is out for the season with a shoulder injury. The Fayetteville Observer previews UNC basketball's schedule and gives three things to know.

N.C. State
The Wolfpack is struggling right now in the first year of Dave Doeren. The N.C. Secretary of State is looking into former football player Eric Leak for allegedly giving improper benefits to C.J. Leslie, Tracy Smith and David Amerson.

Notre Dame
ESPN looks at Notre Dame's BCS hopes, which could happen if Notre Dame finds a way to win out. The Irish defense is on the mend, and the players are happy to face Pitt, which doesn't run an option offense and will let them flex their defensive muscles.

Tyler Boyd, who is already getting comparisons to Larry Fitzgerald, is thriving under wide receivers coach Bobby Engram. Here are the top 10 quotes from Paul Chryst's weekly press conference. The basketball team landed its first 2015 commit in tall PG Damon Wilson.

Syracuse won its final exhibition game against a Canadian team, Ryerson. The football team is trending upward in an up-and-down season with Maryland coming up. Maryland coach Randy Edsall had a short trip to Syracuse last week.

Streaking The Lawn had a roundtable discussion about the rest of Virginia's football season. Check out this season outlook for the Virginia basketball team.

Virginia Tech
Gobbler Country has a game guide and preview for the Miami game. For Virginia Tech and Miami, it's gut-check time, according to this ESPN article.

Wake Forest
The Demon Deacons will be missing their top target - Michael Campanaro - this weekend against Florida State. The Syracuse defense reflected on how they shut out Wake Forest last week.
