Maryland DT Vellano Tackles Often, And With Gusto
Joe Vellano registered a whopping 20 tackles last Saturday in a 21-16 loss to Georgia Tech. No other defensive lineman in the Football Bowl Subdivision has had more than 15 this season, and Vellano’s effort enabled the Terrapins to hold the prolific Yellow Jackets to a season-low 386 yards in offense.
