CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) — Robert Morey pitched seven strong innings and Tyler Cannon broke a 2-2 tie with a sixth-inning single, leading Virginia past Virginia Tech 8-2 Saturday.
The Cavaliers (29-8, 12-5 Atlantic Coast Conference) have won the first two games of the weekend series. It’s the first series between the teams when both are nationally ranked.
