GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — It took 29 years, 11 tries, six coaches and hundreds of players for Florida to finally beat Miami in an NCAA regional.

And the Gators did it in historic fashion.

Preston Tucker and Matt den Dekker drove in three runs apiece and the Gators used two big innings to beat archrival Miami 16-5 on Sunday night and advance to the super regionals.
