CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) - Mamadi Diane hit a tie-breaking 3-pointer with 39 seconds remaining to give Virginia a 68-63 victory over Maryland on Saturday in the regular-season finale for both teams.
Diane, who had been relegated to the bench for much of the season, finished with 23 points on 7-of-12 shooting, including 3 of 4 from beyond the arc.
