COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) - The bye week was beneficial to the Maryland football team because it enabled several injured players to get healthy.
More importantly, it gave the Terrapins some time to get their minds right after an inexplicable 31-0 loss to Virginia. A two-touchdown favorite, Maryland had its three-game winning streak ruined in extremely disappointing fashion on Oct. 4.
