RALEIGH — After N.C. State lost at Southern Miss in September to drop to 1-2, coach Chuck Amato reacted to growing criticism by launching a counter-attack. He urged the media to examine the records of the coaches at his Tobacco Road rivals, North Carolina, Duke and Wake Forest.
