CLEMSON – Clemson coach Oliver Purnell has made clear his philosophy on improving free throw shooting. It often has sent observers digging through thesauri to find new words to describe it.

Throughout his tenure, Purnell has maintained that the program’s fortunes from the line gradually would improve as he brought better shooters into the program.
