Interesting Story: Linebacker commitment Eteyen Edet, whose parents were born in Nigeria, had an adventurous high school career. After spending his freshman and sophomore seasons at Wagner High in Staten Island, N.Y., Edet transferred to Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia. He spent the 2007 season at his third school in a third state in as many years, as he starred at Friendly High in Fort Washington, Md. Edet flew under the recruiting radar for most of his high school career but earned several scholarship offers after recording more than 100 tackles, five sacks and two interceptions as a senior.

Top 2008 Recruiters: Defensive coordinator/linebackers coach Chris Cosh served as the lead recruiter for three key additions: wide receiver Kenny Tate, defensive back Cameron Chism and defensive tackle A.J. Francis. New offensive coordinator James Franklin was quite successful recruiting in-state for the Terrapins, luring Maryland standouts Teddy Dargan, Davin Meggett and Eteyen Edet. Franklin also helped recruit prep school tight end Devonte Campbell.
