Jim Young

Jim Young is the editor of ACCSports.com. Prior to moving into cyberspace, he was a sportswriter for almost nine years for the Greensboro (N.C) News & Record. Jim started at the News & Record covering high school sports and ended his stint there covering Duke, N.C. State and UNC. Jim has won awards from the Associated Press of Sports Editors (APSE), the North Carolina Press Association (NCPA) and Landmark Newspapers. Curiously, none of those awards has made him wealthy.

Prior to coming to Greensboro, Jim wrote for The Sun (Crystal Lake, Ill.) and the Waukegan (Ill.) News-Sun. He earned a graduate degree in journalism from Columbia University in 1998.

Young grew up in Greenville, S.C. and now lives in Durham with his wife Vivian, daughter Julia, son Miller and faithful dog, Murray.
