The Big East, and not the ACC, was the talk of the NCAA Tournament. Villanova eliminated Maryland and North Carolina, Boston College ousted Duke, Georgetown bounced Georgia Tech and St. John’s sent N.C. State packing. There were three Big East teams in the Final Four, and none from the ACC.
