In college football, it’s well-known that starting high in the polls helps a lot with the goal of finishing near the top. Voters seem less likely to drastically drop a team that begins highly rated, especially compared to how difficult it is to climb in the rankings.
The same theory may have applied to this year’s race for ACC…
