Wake Forest got word of its first defensive back commitment of the 2015 class today. Dionte Austin chose the Demon Deacons over offers from Boston College, Maryland, Rutgers, Virginia Tech and others, according to 247Sports.com.
Austin is a three-star prospect in the Rivals and Scout databases, while 247Sports gives him a four-star grade.
The 6-0, 150-pound cornerback from Baltimore, Md., is rated the No. 10 prospect in the state of Maryland, according to 247Sports.com composite rankings.
Austin joins nine other commitments to the Wake Forest 2015 class.
