Less than nine months after playing Maryland in the Terps’ final ACC regular-season game, Virginia will travel to College Park to square off with Mark Turgeon’s squad in the 16th annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge.  The matchup is set for December 3 and will mark the first time the Terrapins have represented the Big Ten in the event.

The Cavaliers will likely be favored going into the game, returning key pieces from a team that won 30 games last year.  Maryland, on the other hand, has already seen a trio of players transfer this offseason in Nick Faust, Roddy Peters and Shaquille Cleare.  The three combined for 43 starts during the team’s 2013-14 campaign.

Virginia holds an all-time record of 9-5 in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
