Tight end prospect chooses the Hoos

Mike London received his third 2015 commitment in the last month on Tuesday when Manasquan, N.J., native Tanner Cowley selected the Cavaliers. Cowley’s pledge came just weeks after quarterback Nick Johns committed to Virginia and only days after wide receiver David Eldridge joined the class.

Cowley plays both tight end and defensive end at the high school level, but it would make sense for him to settle in at the former once he arrives in Charlottesville. With Zachary Swanson playing his senior season this fall, Rob Burns, Mario Nixon and Evan Butts are projected to be the only scholarship tight ends on the team’s 2015 roster.

With Cowley now on board, the Cavs have five players committed to their 2015 class.
