Irish Selling Turf From Notre Dame Stadium

Notre Dame is converting from grass to artificial turf at Notre Dame Stadium. Work began immediately after the school’s commencement ceremony and is expected to finish in time for the football home opener.

The school is using the transition as a way to allow Fighting Irish fans to get a unique souvenir. Notre Dame is selling rolls of grass from the field to the general public.

A two-foot by five-foot roll of grass, with two-day shipping and a certificate of authenticity, will cost $149.95.

The grass will be removed on Tuesday of this week and shipping the following day.
