RALEIGH — “It’s not a bad class for a sinking ship, I’ll tell you that.” N.C. State coach Chuck Amato used those words to characterize his 2005 recruiting class, taking umbrage at some of the negative media attention his program has received since falling to 5-6 last season, when the Wolfpack missed a bowl game for the first time in his five years as the head coach.
