Barry Rohrssen, who spent the past season as an assistant on Jamie Dixon’s staff at Pitt, has left the program, the school announced today.
“Everyone at Pitt wishes Barry the very best in his future pursuits,” Dixon said.
Rohrssen, the former head coach at Manhattan from 2006 until 2010, did not announce his next destination.
With this departure, Dixon can appoint a temporary replacement for off-campus recruiting duties, an important caveat, given this coming weekend is the only open evaluation period for college recruiters until July. Brian Regan, Pitt’s Assistant Athletic Director/Director of Basketball Operations, will be permitted to recruit off-campus during this period.
