1976 Acc Tournament: Simply Wonderful
Coach Terry Holland and star forward “Wonderful” Wally Walker led Virginia to its first - and only - ACC Tournament title in 1976. The Cavaliers’ championship game victory over North Carolina also marked the first time a team seeded lower than fourth captured the tournament, and the first time a team defeated the top three seeds to win.
