Clemson garners pledge from defensive end

LaSamuel Davis, a defensive end prospect in the Class of 2015, committed to Clemson on Saturday. He is the fifth in-state player in his class to select the Tigers.

With Vic Beasley, Corey Crawford and Tavaris Barnes graduating after this season, Davis will be among several players competing at defensive end in 2015. However, at 6-4 and 212 pounds, he’ll have to add to his frame.

According to 247Sports.com, Clemson’s 2015 class is rated the best in the ACC and No. 2 nationally. Not counting grayshirts, Davis is the 17th recruit to commit to Dabo Swinney’s team.
