It was a tough evening on the gridiron of Williams-Brice Stadium for the North Carolina Tar Heels last night, but things aren't all bad for the boys in blue. They're batting leadoff in this week's recruiting links, with a BIG commitment - and not even Mother Nature could delay the excitement for UNC fans.
Easily the biggest news, recruiting-wise, of the past week: Elijah Hood, a four-star tailback and linebacker from Charlotte, N.C., committed to Larry Fedora and the North Carolina Tar Heels. Hood, who announced his commitment via Twitter, chose UNC a week after decommitting from Notre Dame.
Two ACC schools - FSU and Miami - find themselves in the top five of ESPN's 2014 Football class rankings.
Adonys Henriquez, a four-star wing guard from Orlando, Fla., decomitted from the Miami Hurricanes, and reopened his recruitment. Two other ACC schools – Florida State and Clemson – are considered to be in the mix.
One of the most intriguing prospects for the 2014 NBA Draft, Dante Exum, received a scholarship offer from the North Carolina Tar Heels.
