Boston College
Boston College opens as a 15-point underdog to USC, their opponent this weekend. Considering the state of USC's football team right now, maybe the Eagles have a better shot than the line indicates.

Clemson
Even though it was South Carolina State and not Georgia, Clemson's defense showed improvement from Week One to Week Two. This writer has Clemson ranked No. 1 in the country and interestingly enough, Miami at No. 2. In actuality, Clemson moved up to the No. 3 spot in the AP poll.

Duke
Anthony Boone will be out for several weeks with a broken collarbone. Wide receiver Max McCaffrey has some family history of athletics at Duke.

Florida State
The kicker, Roberto Aguayo, had a solid outing against Pittsburgh as he works to replace Dustin Hopkins. What does Miami beating Florida mean for FSU?

Georgia Tech
Georgia Tech is gearing up for a tough four-game run which will set the tone for the rest of the year. Here are notes on Georgia Tech's preparation for Duke this weekend.

Maryland
Stefon Diggs and Brandon Ross were keys to Maryland's big win over Old Dominion.

Miami
After beating Florida, Miami jumped to No. 15 in the AP Top 25, the first time they've been ranked there since 2010. But now with that big win, Al Golden warns against the team getting complacent

North Carolina
Due to some miscommunication, UNC kicked the ball off to begin the first and second halves. Women's basketball coach Sylvia Hatchell was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame Sunday.

N.C. State
The Wolfpack needed a late field goal from their kicker to seal the deal against Richmond. The team hopes they can learn from their mistakes. Mark Gottfried got a big verbal commitment from power forward Abdul-Malik Abu.

Notre Dame
Brian Kelly is still optimistic about his team's defense. As the rivalry with Michigan goes dormant for awhile, the two teams still managed to have a very entertaining game

Pittsburgh
Pitt recruit Rori Blair had a very scary stroke more than a year ago but has worked to overcome it since.

Syracuse
Some of the best play against Northwestern came from the second-team guys. This writer doesn't have much faith in Syracuse for this season, and says they need to start planning for future years.

Virginia
David Watford is taking much of the blame for Virginia's 49-point loss to Oregon, but somehow I don't think him playing better would have changed much.

Virginia Tech
Virginia Tech played pretty well to beat Western Carolina, as they tried to fix the flaws they saw against Alabama. The passing game even showed signs of improvement.

Wake Forest
From Friday night, Boston College's defense did a good job of shutting down Wake Forest.
