Maryland
Maryland is going for its first win in school history at Florida State this weekend. Defensive coordinator Brian Stewart might have to mix some things up to find success against QB Jameis Winston. Dez Wells had a long Q&A on Twitter.

Miami
The Hurricanes have been explosive on offense - 45.3 points per game, good for ninth in the nation - but if they're going to continue racking up wins and points, then their short-yardage offense needs to improve. Miami opens up their ACC schedule tomorrow against Georgia tech; here's a lengthy game preview, which includes an injury report.

North Carolina
The Tar Heels, who find themselves at 1-3 as they travel up to Blacksburg this weekend, need their defense to stop the Hokies' ground game - better known as The Logan Thomas Battering Ram. Winning against the Hokies and their fantastic defense will not be easy. A Former UNC tutor who worked with Tar Heel football players - in particular, Greg Little - was indicted, charged with violating the state's sports agent laws.

N.C. State
The Wolfpack were scheduled to play at Central Michigan in 2014, but the Wolfpack bought its way out of that game, which will cost the school $350,000. State and Wake Forest add another chapter to their rivalry this weekend, when the Pack travels to Winston-Salem - a place NCSU hasn't won at since this man was a sophomore in college. Here's a podcast preview for the State-Wake game.

Notre Dame
The Fighting Irish take on No. 22 Arizona State this weekend in Arlington, Texas (which, um, OK), and head coach Brian Kelly is planning on some form of a QB rotation

Pittsburgh
The Panthers picked up a big in-state football commitment last night: three-star dual threat QB JaQuan Davidson. Former Pitt Panthers football coach Johnny Majors, who led the school to a national title in 1976: ACC Legend, class of 2013.

Syracuse

Here's a list of the team's biggest wins from 2009-2012, when Scott Shafer was the program's defensive coordinator.

Virginia
If the Cavaliers are going to take down Ball State this weekend, their defense will have to shutdown the Cardinals' two key offensive weapons: QB Keith Wenning and WR Willie Snead. Four-star wide receiver Jamil Kamara is a priority for the Hoos' 2014 recruiting class.

Virginia Tech
Here's an excellent preview - with predictions - from The Key Play on the Hokies' upcoming contest against the Tar Heels. Senior corner Antone Exum has been cleared to play, but freshman Brandon Facyson, who has been balling, will get the starting nod against UNC.

Wake Forest
The Demon Deacons have done their best to prepare for Dave Doeren and the Wolfpack's uptempo offensive attack, which hasn't been easy.
