Boston College
ESPN has the Boston College-Virginia Tech game as a potential upset if the Eagles' offense can pick it up. Steve Addazio talked about the loss to UNC and looking toward Virginia Tech. The passing game for BC has a big challenge with VT.

Dabo Swinney isn't too happy with negative comments from TV announcers. But the football team is struggling when it gets into the red zone. Athletic director Dan Radakovich has a plan for upgrading facilities as early as spring 2015.

It might be time to get reintroduced to Duke football, a team that seems to have turned a corner. Several players from the Triangle, such as J.J. Redick, will have a big impact in the NBA this year.

Florida State
FSU has some of the best wide receivers in the country and will pose a big challenge to Miami. Though Lamarcus Joyner is a pretty small person, he's a big-time player. The 22-point spread for the FSU-Miami game is reportedly the largest spread between two top-10 teams ever. FSU will be ready for Miami to try running the ball a lot with Duke Johnson. With the success that Jimbo Fisher's had, FSU will need to open up the checkbook.

Georgia Tech
The defense for Georgia Tech has improved and really turned it around. Here's a recap of Paul Johnson's press conference. From the the GT-Virginia game, here are some takeaways and tidbits. Ted Roof still backs CB Louis Young even though he had a bad game against Virginia.

Levern Jacobs is helping the Terps overcome the losses of both starting wide receivers. It's time for Maryland basketball to finally take a big step. Mike Madaras' father supports his decision to leave Maryland.

Duke Johnson is carrying a larger load for Miami. Offensive coordinator James Coley has an inside view of FSU since he was their OC just last year. The basketball team is in learning mode right now with a bunch of new guys on the team.

North Carolina
It's UNC-N.C. State week, and Eric Ebron is trash talking. Here's more on what Ebron is saying about the Wolfpack. Two quarterbacks are better than one for UNC ... at least for now, writes Brett Friedlander.

N.C. State
Back in some baseball news, Carlos Rodon was named USA Baseball's Player of the Year, a very big honor. N.C. State's offense is nearly healthy in time for the UNC game.

Notre Dame
Everett Golson opened up to SI and talked about how he cheated and how he intends to return to Notre Dame. The future at wide receiver looks bright for the Irish.

Tom Savage is running out of time in his college career. Pitt and several other teams in the area had a poor showing on the football field last weekend.

With John Raymon out on the defensive line, Syracuse is looking for the next guy to step up. Syracuse.com finds out where Allen Griffin, former basketball player, is now.

A stronger and hungrier Mike Tobey is setting the tone for the basketball team. Though the football team has its woes, there are several guys having great seasons.

Virginia Tech
Coming off a loss to Duke, the Hokies will have a character test against Boston College. Here's a fan guide to the aforementioned game at BC. All of a sudden, the Hokies have some depth at DB, especially with the return of Antone Exum. Though Logan Thomas has been up and down, ESPN's Todd McShay still says he should be a Day Two pick.

Wake Forest
Syracuse coach Scott Shafer praised WR Michael Campanaro and compared him to Wes Welker. Syracuse will definitely be paying close attention to Campanaro.
