Boston College
Part of the reason the offensive line has played so well is due to right guard Harris Williams. RB Andre Williams is looking to hit the 1,000-yard rushing mark. BC athletes are among the best in the nation in terms of graduation rates. Sixth-year player Kaleb Ramsey is writing a new end to his career.

Clemson is looking to put that terrible loss to FSU in the past. The Tigers are hoping to keep their hopes and dreams of playing in a BCS game alive with a game against an improved Maryland, writes Lauren Brownlow.

Duke athletes had some of the nation's best graduation success rates. The football team is looking for that critical sixth win to get bowl eligible for the second straight year.

Florida State
Jimbo Fisher responded to Dabo Swinney's comment that FSU and Clemson would split a 10 games series. Fisher's football philosophy is starting to take root. Running back James Wilder Jr. will sit this weekend because of a concussion. If you want to know why Jameis Winston has been so successful, look no further than the mechanics and basics. There will be lots of Bobby Bowden merchandise for sale this weekend as he returns to FSU. Linebacker Terrance Smith is the son of a former Clemson star, but he's not ashamed of his name.

Georgia Tech
The Yellow Jackets are preparing for an aggressive Virginia defense. The athletic department did very well in graduate-rate success. Check out some special teams numbers for GT. In hoops news, GT will face Florida in one of these not-so-secret "secret scrimmages."

This sounds like it could be from last year, but C.J. Brown won't be available this weekend against Clemson because he's hurt. The Terps will also be missing three other starters, including starting RB Brandon Ross.

Miami is making changes to avoid having future scandals. Wide receiver Rashawn Scott is back in the mix, which is good since Phillip Dorsett is out, writes Manny Navarro. Dallas Crawford is emerging for Miami as a very good player.

North Carolina
One problem that has plagued UNC's offense this year is a lack of scoring in the red zone. UNC academics have been under scrutiny in the last few years, but the athletic department posted above-average graduation numbers. In the NBA, alum Danny Green got to model another special Spurs uniform - this one is camo.

N.C. State
Could N.C. State be a trap game for FSU? Brandon Mitchell will be back this weekend for FSU, and he wants to ruin the Seminoles' season

Notre Dame
Right guard Christian Lombard is out for the season, and defensive tackle Louis Nix III is out for the weekend. Without Nix, Stephon Tuitt might move over some to play in the middle. The game against Air Force will include two brothers - Matt and and Isaac Rochell - but they're on different sides

Former coach Ben Howland returned to Pitt to check out basketball practice. The basketball team also picked up a commitment from 6-8 guard/forward Ryan Luther. Junior Cameron Wright is ready to start for Pitt. DE Ejuan Price will be out for several weeks.

Scott Shafer offered some thoughts on next year's non-conference schedule. CollegeBasketballTalk on NBCSports.com has Syracuse ranked No. 7 in its preseason rankings. Former player Arinze Onuaku's luck is starting to turn up, and he might make an NBA roster. DE Tyler Marona's football career has sadly been cut short following problems with concussions. Donovan McNabb was a guest on Shafer's radio show. The basketball team has some work to do with graduation success.

Three starters will be out for the Cavaliers this weekend against Georgia Tech. Some of Virginia's homecoming activities were partly funded by Mike London himself.

Virginia Tech
The Hokies ranked sixth in the ACC in graduation success rate in all sports. This article talks about how Virginia Tech football does it the right way. Dates for a home-and-home with Ohio State have been finalized.

Wake Forest
Here is a preview for the Wake Forest-Miami game this weekend. Blogger So Dear also looks at Miami and the challenges for Wake Forest.
