Boston College
Because of Olivier Hanlan, Boston College might be a sleeper when it gets to ACC play. But when BC played UConn yesterday, Hanlan was "held" to 19 points, and the Eagles lost a close one 72-70. Here's a preview of the Maryland-BC game.

Clemson
Clemson and The Citadel will have a Military Appreciation Day on Saturday, and in order to honor the military, Clemson is holding a purple out. Clemson defeated Temple in the Charleston Classic 72-58, overcoming a 12-point deficit. After the win, there are some things to like about this team, which bodes well for them since they weren't picked very high in preseason polls.

Duke
After landing big-time prospects Jahlil Okafor and Tyus Jones last week, another five-star recruit, SF Justise Winslow, announced for Duke yesterday giving the Blue Devils the best class in the country. Syracuse has welcomed Duke as a new rival with this T-shirt. A ranked Blue Devils team will head to Wake Forest this weekend.

Florida State
In case you live under a rock and haven't heard a ton about the Jameis Winston situation, police have found a DNA link between Winston and the person who's accused him of sexual battery. But what actually happens if Winston gets charged? Here are some hypothetical financial and marketing repercussions if Winston is charged. As far as football goes, even Nick Saban said FSU might be the best team in the country. In basketball news, the Seminoles turned it over a lot but still beat No. 10 VCU 85-67.

Georgia Tech
Dabo Swinney said GT A-Back Robert Godhigh should be in consideration for All-ACC teams. Godhigh has been having one of the best seasons in recent GT A-Back history. Basketball freshman guard Travis Jorgenson tore his ACL and will be out for the year

Maryland
Offensive tackle commit Larry Mazyck is getting ready to enroll early at Maryland. The Terrapins' leading tackler, LB Cole Farrand, will miss the BC game, which could hurt against Andre 2000.

Miami
Two former players said the recent defensive struggles are more on the players than coaching. Linebacker Denzel Perryman is a new father, which could mean he gives the NFL a serious look. With the NCAA sanctions in the past, Al Golden thinks recruits are responding better. Forward Donnavan Kirk is technically a newcomer, but he's very familiar with Miami and is thriving in a return to his first school. But the team was out of sync against Central Florida and lost.

North Carolina
P.J. Hairston and Leslie McDonald won't be with the team this weekend as the Tar Heels travel to Connecticut. Robert Quinn said he was surprised to receive a letter of permanent dissociation from UNC.

N.C. State
Tommy Burleson and Norm Sloan will be inducted into the N.C. State Hall of Fame. NCSU QB Brandon Mitchell has been friends with ECU WR Lance Ray since their time at Arkansas five years ago.

Notre Dame
Big, bad news for Notre Dame - DT Louis Nix will be out for the year. This story looks back at JFK's assassination and how the Iowa-Notre Dame was canceled. The Irish coaching staff sent one recruit 262 letters in a day.

Pittsburgh
With just a few games left in the season, the Pitt seniors are looking to end their careers in a bowl game. Commit Qadree Ollison is ready for the next step at Pitt.

Syracuse
The men's basketball team is headed for a short vacation in Hawaii for the Maui Invitational, but there's also a business side to it. Syracuse football made a plea to the community to help show out against Pitt. Here's a look at the weekly injury report.

Virginia
There's a big difference right now in where the basketball and football programs are. Some players could be returning from injury such as DT Brent Urban and CB Maurice Canady. This writer looks at the redshirts from the year. The Cavs are hoping to build some momentum into the offseason with the last few games.

Virginia Tech
Cornerback Kyle Fuller's career at VT might be over because of a groin injury that should keep him out four to six weeks. James Gayle isn't afraid to give Virginia a little bit of bulletin board material. The basketball team has a huge task ahead of them with Michigan State looming on Friday. Trying to contain MSU guard Gary Harris will be one of the challenges. Jarell Eddie learned some lessons from former star PG Erick Green, such as needing to stay in the gym.

Wake Forest
The Demon Deacons basketball team handily defeated The Citadel with a score of 82-54. Here's a quick preview of the Duke-Wake Forest game Saturday. Blogger So Dear also has a preview of the game, with a prediction of Duke winning.
