Boston College
When the Eagles meet Arizona in the AdvoCare V100 Bowl Dec. 31, it will give BC's all-world back Andre Williams (#Andre2000) a chance to square off against another talented runner - Ka'Deem Carey of the Wildcats, who has rushed for 1,716 yards and 17 touchdowns this season. SECOND CONFERENCE GAME OF THE SEASON ALERT: tonight, Steve Donahue's bunch - off to a sluggish start, which is putting it nicely - play host to Maryland.

Clemson
If you've watched him play at all this season, this should come as no surprise to you: Sammy Watkins is considered the favorite to bring home the prized Biletnikoff Award, which is given out tonight to the nation's top receiver. Shakin The Southland and Mark Rogers have put together a cool preview video on this season's Orange Bowl - hey, Clemson, get ready to try and stop that No. 5 fella; he's pretty good.

Duke
The Blue Devils have been paced on offense this season by their dynamic forward duo of Jabari Parker and Rodney Hood. Parker has garnered most of the headlines, and rightfully so - he's awesome. Hood, however, isn't exactly going unnoticed. Hey, speaking of Jabari: how does he compare to former Duke/NBA great Grant Hill? Well, according to Hill, quite well actually.

Florida State
Yesterday, the ACC coaches released their All-Conference teams, Player of the Year award. And to the surprise of literally no one, FSU landed several guys on the All-ACC First Team - 11, to be exact. Let's take a deeper look into the Seminoles' beating of Duke in the ACC Championship Game, shall we?

Georgia Tech
Jeremiah Attaochu absolutely terrorized backfields all season in the ACC in 2013, and for that he gained some well-deserved recognition: First Team All-ACC, according to the conference's coaches. Tre Jackson - a three-star LB from Valdosta, Georgia - committed to the Yellow Jackets back in March; Wednesday, he made things official by signing. He will enroll in school early on January 5.

Maryland
Ugh. Despite making a bowl game this season - the Military Bowl - Maryland won't receive any of the ACC’s distributed postseason revenue. The league continues to withhold funds because of their disagreement on the school's exit fee. Heading into tonight's ACC contest against BC, Mark Turgeon is trying to put an emphasis on improving his team's defense.

Miami
Nine Hurricanes were named to the Coaches' All-Conference teams, including junior linebacker Denzel Perryman and graduate punter Pat O’Donnell, who were each named First Team All-ACC.

North Carolina
It's always one of the best early season college basketball games, and this season UNC versus Kentucky should be no different. The No. 11 Wildcats - led by a host of talented underclassmen - travel to Chapel Hill this Saturday, where the No. 18 Tar Heels will be waiting for them. Eh, it's that time of the year, I guess: rumors are flying that Larry Fedora is interested in the soon-to-be vacant head coaching job at Texas.

N.C. State
This is pretty neat: players from the Wolfpack baseball team that went to the 2013 College World Series received their bling - er, I mean - rings yesterday. It has taken nearly five years, but NCSU's favorite Aussie, Jordan Vandenberg, is finally coming into his own on the basketball court.

Notre Dame
The Irish's inconsistent play caught up with them again last night; star wing Jerian Grant could only muster nine points, and Notre Dame fell to North Dakota State in South Bend, 73-69. Could a crowded schedule be part of the problem for Mike Brey's club this season?

Pittsburgh
Aaron Donald is very good at football. In fact, he's so good that it's better to aggregate all of his awards - including the Lombardi and Bronko Nagurski- and honors into one place. USA TODAY even named Donald to the First Team of their All-American roster.

Syracuse
Five players from Scott Shafer's squad were named to one of the All-ACC teams announced yesterday, including center Macky MacPherson. There are a lot of incredible freshmen in college basketball this season, we all know this, but how do they stack up against perhaps the greatest one-and-done (and future ACC Legend, hopefully, fingers crossed, you guys) in Syracuse basketball history, Carmelo Anthony?

Virginia
Last night, Andrew Brown - a five-star DT committed to Virginia - received the Gatorade National Player of the Year Award, which was given to him by former Cavalier and New York Giant great Tiki Barber. It was a tough season for Mike London and Virginia, but one of their few bright spots - safety Anthony Harris - was honored for his strong efforts in 2013.

Virginia Tech
Nothing much was expected of the Hokies' basketball program this year, but the team is playing well, and - most importantly - taking steps in the correct direction. The Fuller brothers are, well, awesome at football.

Wake Forest
Wake's new football coach Dave Clawson has had a great deal of success as a head coach - no matter where he's been. Clawson, however, says he learned a great deal during his one season as offensive coordinator at Tennessee, which did not go...swell.
