Wake Forest secured its second commitment of the 2014 basketball class when 7-foot-2 Isaac Haas committed to the Deacs Sunday night. He did not plan on committing to the Demon Deacons after his visit ton Winston-Salem this past weekend, but he was so impressed that he decided to go ahead and pull the trigger.

Haas, who plays at Hokes Bluff (Ala.) High School,  is the 58th best recruit in the 2014 class according to Rivals.com. He chose Wake Forest over Texas A&M, Virginia, Purdue, UAB, and a host of other schools vying for his services.

The height that Haas will bring to Winston-Salem next year will complement PF Devin Thomas very well on the interior. Haas' strong suits - rebounding and low-post defense - are two areas in whichthe Deacs have desperately needed help the past two few years.

Haas joins PG Shelton Mitchell in the Class of 2014, another top 100 recruit.

The Deacs now hold the 14th best recruiting class in 2014 and will likely spend the rest of the committing period on securing a shooting guard who can spread out opposing defenses.

Here's some video of Haas in action at the NBPA Top 100 Camp.
