When Dabo Swinney was given the permanent job as Clemson’s head football coach, the move immediately gave the Tigers 2009 recruiting class - which once was considered one of the best in the country - a needed boost.
Swinney had a sterling reputation as a recruiter when he was an assistant for the Tigers. JC Shurburtt, who covers recruiting in the southeast for ESPN.com, writes that Swinney’s reputation and his strong relationships are already paying dividends with in-state recruiting.
