Injuries and attrition have forced N.C. State to go with more young players than it had planned to play on defense. Some, like freshman safety Justin Byers are having to play major roles right away.
The recent results have been rough, but as our N.C. State Insider writers, the short-term pain could eventually lead to a long-term gain for the Wolfpack.
