The Publisher

The ACC Sports Journal and ACCSports.com are led by award-winning editor and lead writer David Glenn, who has covered the league for almost 25 years. Glenn is the author of seven ACC-related productions/publications, including “Royal Blue: The History of Duke Basketball” (Raycom), “Tar Heels On Tape” (Village Companies) and “The History Of The ACC Tournament” (Raycom).

Glenn also has contributed to the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Durham (N.C.) Herald-Sun, the Chapel Hill (N.C.) News, The Sporting News, the ACC Basketball Yearbook, the ACC Football Yearbook, the ACC Basketball Handbook, Lindy’s Annuals, Athlon Annuals, College Sports, Carolina Court, The Wolfpacker, Cavalier Corner, Basketball News, the Prep Stars Recruiter’s Handbook, PrepStars.com, ACCSports.com, GoHeels.com, ACCToday.com, Duke Basketball Report, StateFans.com, InsideCarolina.com and many other publications.

Glenn also hosts the syndicated David Glenn Show, which is carried weekdays by more than a dozen radio stations and websites in North Carolina and can be heard in and around the state’s 10 most populous cities (plus dozens of smaller towns), after building a successful drive-time program in the Triangle area of the state. Overall, he participates in more than 500 shows each year, including as a regular guest on dozens of additional stations in the ACC area and beyond. A licensed and practicing attorney in North Carolina from 1994-2009, Glenn also serves as a popular speaker at dozens of corporate outings, colleges/universities (sports media/business/communications/journalism classes), sports clubs, civic clubs, professional associations and other organizations. Born in Illinois and raised in the Philadelphia area, he lives in Raleigh with his wife, Maria, son, Anthony, and daughter, Avery.

The Editor

Jim Young is the editor of ACCSports.com. Prior to moving into cyberspace, he was a sportswriter for almost nine years for the Greensboro (N.C) News & Record. Young started at the News & Record covering high school sports and ended his stint there covering Duke, N.C. State and UNC. During his time there, Young won awards from the Associated Press Sports Editors (APSE), the North Carolina Press Association (NCPA) and Landmark Newspapers. He also was the runner-up for the Thomas Wolfe Award, given to the best feature story in North Carolina, in 2001.

Prior to coming to Greensboro, Young wrote for The Sun (Crystal Lake, Ill.) and the Waukegan (Ill.) News-Sun. He earned a graduate degree in journalism from Columbia University in 1998.

Young grew up in Greenville, S.C., and now lives in Durham with his wife Vivian, daughter Julia, son Miller and faithful dog, Murray.
